I just registered for my 40th high school reunion that happens in October. One of my two high school friends has been bugging me so she and I are all organized for it and trying to contact the third.

My 25th is this year. I'm too old for that too! I haven't decided if I'm going. I haven't made one yet, but I figure by this point, we're all fat (or bald, for the guys) and it'll matter less.

I went to my 25th...it was a hoot...

I learned quite a bit about myself that day...how far I have come,,How far many of my classmates have gone and how little any of that has to do with the simple joy of revisiting a time when none of that made any difference..

I smiled a lot that day...

Another moment never to be repeated...priceless...

As long as your mind stays open, you are still willing to learn new things and enjoy new experiances, you can never be too old

I hope you have a great time at the reunion!

I went to my 5th year and 30th year. The 5th year, everyone had just gotten their first job, etc. and there was a lot of posturing going on, new marriages and young kids, etc. The 30th year only had 40-50 or so people, and that included a few spouses; I can only imagine what this will have. I only really recognized 2 people at the 30th besides my best friend. She and I ended up hanging out with guys we didn't even know and afterward figured were probably not even classmates, were probably crashing the party. LOL.

We're almost 60 now and most of us have or have had various illnesses, I'm sure. Should be entertaining to watch but I don't think (from what I know of myself) that there will be quite as much drinking and cavorting, etc. It will probably be a dull thing that ends at 10:00 p.m. so everyone can go to bed.
