I just got my end-of-season bonus. Which should be a good thing, right?

Well...

We paid for the house plans on a credit card, hoping to eventually work those into the mortgage. We also paid for a bunch of other stuff and just stuck it on that same (zero-interest intro rate) credit card.

I kept thinking, oh, I'll pay it all off with my bonus check and the IRS stimulus check we'll get in May.

Well....just added everything up. Still short. Yikes.

I have really bad spending habits. I get latte's all the time, even though we have free coffee at work. I keep gaining and losing tons of weight, and stupid me, when I lose the weight, I get rid of my big pants as an "incentive" to not get fat again. But I always get fat again, which just means I have to buy more clothes.

Sometimes I spend money and really have nothing to show for it. Like I just throw it down the drain.

Really need to get control of it. We were doing so great, and we're getting ready to build a house. We are actually debt-free except for that one card, and my student loans. I just need to stop being so stupid!!

Budgetting is hard. It's really easy to get into careless spending habits. Have you tried carrying around a note book and writing down everything you spend on for a couple of weeks. That should help you identify areas where you can maybe cut back a bit.

Good luck
