I'm very excited!

My friend and I decided to not to plan, reserve, buy tickets or nothing. We decided to just gooooo with the flooooow, obviously we are very unorganized people.

Our main points will be the modern art museum, some famous restaurants, 9/11 site/memorial, and if we have time we hope to check out Chinatown vendors.

I'll be back to update on how everything went. Farewell for now friends!

YouOweMe,

I hope you have a wonderful time in the City!

It is like nowhere else. I don't know if you like Chinese food, but you might find a great place to eat in Chinatown.

YouOMe,

I just noticed the word "tonight". It is much safer to be wandering around the City in the daytime.

Enjoy the City!

I reccomend adding TimeSquare at night to your list of places to go! Don't eat there though, the food is more expensive and not that great :P

If you want to see a show, line up early for CHEAP stand-buy tickets. Most times you can get them.....

9/11 site is hard, especially if you remember what was there. It is now a big ditch that they are building on. But it looks out of place admidst the other buildings.

If you like "interesting" head to the Village and eat there. If the weather is great, people-watch in Washington Square Park....LOL

oh yeah, i grew up there...teehee
Have an awesome time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to New York City tonight!!

heh, I've only been to the city once, but it's amazing.
maybe if you have some extra time you should travel up North some hours to the Adirondaks (-cough- where I live) the roads are kind of crappy if your driving, but it's really nice this time of year

UPDATE

I love New York!!!

I want to move there now. There is something always to do, stuff always going on. There's so many different types of people.

I went to Time Square several times through the day and left from there in the evening. My friend and I decided to save money by taking the subway around. It wasn't as scary as some people made it sound, but we did end up on the wrong side of the track a few times.

We also went to Moma and the metro art museum. They were so beautiful and we also got a discount for being students.

The bus was horrible though, it was a lot smaller then we had intended it to be and I did not sleep at all.

I must have walked miles.....literally, we went all over the island. We took a cab once but was scared to death! They drive like maniacs there. I learned my lesson on trusting the walkers too because at first we were crossing when other people crossed the streets, but I quickly learned that they don't give a crap about cars......they just walk!

I did get ripped off though. Another lesson learned. We were offered by this guy on the street a ticket to a stand up comedy show on Broadway. It was 20 dollars for both my friend and I to go. I was very weary, but my friend said I was being paranoid. We ended up not seeing a show, after waiting 2 hours. Sucked! But besides that, the entire trip was an awesome experience.

Now I must sleep.

haha...yeah, I hear that.

We country folk realize there's a whole another world out there.
Especially comparing West Virginia to New York, there is money in New York, there is none here and you can definitely tell by just walking down the streets....huuuuuge difference in economy and diversity. There's a million ways to make money in New York City.
