It stopped raining long enough for me to go to the garden centre today to buy my flowers and most of my herbs. They didnt' have all the herbs I wanted so I'll have to try other places, hopefully some garden centres will be open tomorrow. But the main thing is I bought all sorts of lovely flowers and am going to plant them on my balcony tomorrow.

This is a big deal because this time last year i was in a psych hospital, and by the time I got out in late june all of the annuals were sold out from the garden places so I didn't plant anything.

I can't wait to get started planting - I bought lovely deep purple and bright pink petunias for my hanging boxes.

So I've planted all my flowers. In addition to the lots of petunias,

I've put in 2 geraniums, begonias, impatients, lavandar, and a tomatoe plant. I'm going to try growing cherry tomatoes in a pot for the first time.

Herbs: Thyme, tarragon, chives, garlic chives, oregano, basil, peppermint, and sage.

Still to come rosemary, parsley, hopefully chilli peppers, and I still have another long box that I can put flowers in. I'll have to see what inspires me.

I had of course totally forgotten how long it takes to water everything when you're hauling water in a watering can from the kitchen. Basically it takes me about 1/2 an hour to water everything. Now I just hope we get some nice warm weather for growing.

I had of course completely

I have 2 Planters outside my front door and I have flowers in them. Don't know what they are but they are pretty and I like them. They are red and white and with all the rain we've been getting are growing like gangbusters.
