My stuffed animals, of course.
Light Bright
Play-Doh
Barbies
Colorforms
Spirograph
Etch-a-Sketch
I was also very happy simply having paper and drawing materials. I spent a great deal of time reading and would go through several books per day.

I don't remember having a lot of toys...I'd rather be doing more active stuff like playing baseball, playing in the barn (me and my bro would make forts out of the hay and play that way or just jump around in the hay and grain bins lol). But I did have my Big Wheel that I was endlessly traveling all over the place on...pretending I was a racecar driver. Oh and then me and my brother would play with matchbox cars for hours together.

I guess I never put much stock into toys when I was little...there is always much more fun to be had doing other things that aren't meant to be toys, but end up being fun anyways.

Oh how the times have changed!

my faviourte doll was a tall doll that had a opening in the back that played small plastic disks like a record player i belive they were nursery rhymes, but the doll got left in the caravan when we moved into the flat didnt get it back untill it had been broken

I lived my life as a child vicariously through books.
I read with a flash light under the covers at night
so I wouldn't get in trouble.

Looking at the lists, I can see that I'm a great deal older than many of you. My favorite doll of all time was a doll named Chrissy. Her hair grew and she was the most beautiful doll I'd ever seen. (Her baby doll version) My cousin had her and didn't like her but she'd never let me have it. She even got rid of it so that when I went to her house to play, I couldn't play with it. I've spent my adult life looking for that version of the doll and cannot find her.

My second favorite was my kitchen set.

Thanks for the thread, brought back some wonderful memories!
