Just now, I was taking a watering can out to my garden, when I tripped over my pantleg (they're too long) and went boom, as my mom would say when we were kids. I hurt my knee, but it scared me more than anything else. Fortunatly, it looks pretty good, although I know it will bruise something awful. I'm grateful it wasn't worse, 'cause it really could have been in a lot of ways.

When was the last time something like this happened to you? Where were you? How did it happen? Were you alone (like I was) or with others?

Oh, Violet, I hope you will be okay, and not too sore.
I am very careful not to fall these days. The last time I fell, I was walking around a house that was for sale. No one was with me, and I sensed I was falling. I turned my ankle and could hardly get up. There was a young man standing at the house next door on his cell phone. He saw it, but said nothing and didn't offer to assist me. My foot was swollen and purple for a month afterwards!

Long ago, when I was 8 or 9 months pregnant, I fell while crossing the street in traffic. No one offered to assist me then either! when was the last time you fell down and went boom?

Falls can be serious. Maybe shorten your pants!???
Love

I'm okay, thanks for the concern. when was the last time you fell down and went boom? Yes, I'm def. taking these and a few other pairs in to the tailor's to get them hemmed. Never again will I suffer with too-long pants! :}

I'm sorry people saw you fall and didn't offer to help you up. Especially when you were pregnant, that's just inexcusable! when was the last time you fell down and went boom?

the last time I fell that bad was when I injured my back. I was a truck driver and was moving my rear wheels and had a bar that I used to move the lever. it slipped and I went flying backwards about 20 ft bouncing all the way. didn't realize how serious I was injured til the next day. I have to say though I was so embarressed being female and a male driver was right behind me. I didn't even associate the fall with how bad my back hurt til months later. I always wonder when I fall if anyone is watching lol

Oh dear, I'm sorry that happened. Hope your back is ok!

Truck driving sounds like fun - did you get to go all around the United States? Or was it stressful?

Violet and Friends,

It was May 2007. The St. Bernard mix dog, MIssy, my husband insisted on rescuing against my wishes, ought of the blue ran around me twice wrapping her vinyl covered steel lead tightly around my ankles, and took off. I went down like a tree, and when I was able to lift my head high enough to look at my feet, my right foot was at 3 o'clock instead of 12 noon.

My husband said, "Dear, do you think you can get up?" I wanted to say, "No, Dear, I was just wrything around on the ground for no reason." I told him to get me the phone, and I called myself an ambulance.

My ankle was broken, and was sent by our local hospital up to the one in Kansas City, about 70 miles away. Fortunately, I was able to be transported by my husband in the back seat of our pick-up truck.

This has been on my mind, b/c my ankle is still not right. when was the last time you fell down and went boom?

I'm a klutz too, but my klutziness has to do with bumping into things and sometimes knocking them over...sigh...

Fell Down? It seems all the time these days. Due to menopause thankfully I can't remember. Unfortunatly my boyfriend does and reminds me. Well sad to say I was in the shower and caught my foot getting out. It wrapped up in the shower curtain and I pitched forward. To save myself I put my hand out to the sink and pulled it down with me. I thought I was dead at first and then realised I was fine and the sink wasn't.
when was the last time you fell down and went boom? when was the last time you fell down and went boom? when was the last time you fell down and went boom?

It was during last winter, I was walking down the auditorium for a meeting for our Canada trip wearing wet shoes (from the snow) my foot sliped and my knee slammed onto the concrete. What killed me though (even though it hurt like heck and left a scar) is the fact that I was in front of a few students, my parents, and one of my teachers, limping around in pain, rubbing my knee right in front of them, but NOBODY even noticed until I told them. I mean...are they really THAT dense? when was the last time you fell down and went boom?

I was at Walmart and it was misting outside threating to rain and they were repaving the parking lot and the part I was on had just been asphalted..can I just say fresh asphalt is slick when it is wet. Well I was wearing my flip flops and was rushing to my car to get to an appointment and down I went. I think I about gave the poor door greeter in the Garden Center a heart attack because he kept asking if I was ok and I assured him I was just very embarrased and a manager came out and made sure I was ok and helped me to my car.
