Just wondering if I'm the only adult here who still enjoys watching movies that only have G & PG ratings. I don't know why i freaked myself out about that, but I'm afraid it proves that I have an immature taste in movies. I also happen to own a lot of movies with those ratings. I do have lots of movies with higher ratings, but I think the lower ratings beat out the higher ones.

I guess what it comes down to is that I just love musicals and Disney, oh yes, and the Muppets too. I just watched Enchanted last night. I think that's my favorite recent Disney movie.

You are definitely not alone in enjoying the G & PG rated movies. I too love watching them. I don't think there is one wrong thing about an adult enjoying those kinds of movies. I think we are inundated with so many movies touting violence etc etc etc that we too need a break from that. To sit back and watch something that is truly entertaining is a real special treat these days!

These type of movies remind us of a time when our lives were simpler ~ enliven the inner child.

Yeah, I'm not even very into violent movies. I don't know, they just don't interest me too much. I guess people also forget that you just need some movie that you find fun to watch, and that's all it has to be. Like it just makes you smile and you don't have to think so hard about the plot.

Most definitely love G and PG, but I watch a wide range of movies including independent which some most likely are rated R. But I love animated films and I am 24. :O

I'm 24 too! I love all kinds of movies too, not just ones that are geared to a younger audience. I'm just not a big fan of action or horror for some reason. I don't know why exactly.

But actually, I just realized that movies are given ratings based on content and maybe language. So, I guess it isn't really silly or immature to like lower rated movies. Like, I really really love Audrey Hepburn movies. I also love some older movie musicals like Singin in the Rain and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Now, while most of those movies would not be objectionable to children today, would they really be interested in them? Probably not.

enchanted is a fun movie. i am almost twice your age yet my friends and i love the scene where the cockroaches clean up the new york city apartment. and the music is good.
i am not big on violent movies most of the time because they can trigger feelings that upset me. but i am unphased and often enjoy movies that are unrated shown in the 'arthouse' cinemas in new york city which may have mild sexuality and female nudity.
a movie i have avoided seeing is 'mongol' which is the story of genghis khan. it has a reputation of being very bloody but with beautiful landscape cinematography.
the last movie I saw--this past weekend in fact-- was a 3D remake of 'journey to the center of the earth' starring brendan frasier. i had to wear special glasses for 3D in the theater. it was definitely made for kids. the total effect of the movie was like a theme park ride. i highly recommend it.

I just watched Bridge to Terabithia which is PG rated and I loved it. Lion King, Ice Age, Shrek are a few that comes to mind that are "great" movies. I've seen Goonies and Hook 25 times if not more and I still enjoy watching them. I don't know if it is the "kid" is me or that I sometimes just enjoy a violence, sex free movie. Prob is both reasons..

I just get soooooo tired of all the violence and sex on TV. You listen to the news with all the murders, missing kids, kids shooting kids,(in DC area) and then you turn on the boob tube and you see the same things going on in two hour movies. Just doesn't always agree with me.. Sooooooo to take the edge off, a nice G rated movie suits me just fine.

Then other times I enjoy a good mystery, suspense or even a good horror movie. Not the blood and guts type of horror movies. I can't watch those.
