I'm taking my art tomorrow to be juried for Tamarack, WV's largest art facility. I'm taking my weavings from my grad exhibit, my "artrox", and my funky hats and shawls. They may want some, all, or none of it! I'll let you know how it goes after tomorrow.
Love
Patty

Thanks to all of you! I have sold my "artrox" at Tamarack before several years ago. Looking back, I can't recall why I stopped selling there, but I think it was because they, like all galleries and shops, double the price of your work. This puts a great pressure on the artist/craftsperson regarding monetary gain.
Have any others here experienced this, and how did you handle it?
My work always sold well, even with the doubling of price. so I'll just have to see what they say about this new body of work.
I've spent the evening loading the weavings and rocks in my car...whew! Now finishing a shawl to include with my "funky fibers" wearable art.
I'm impressed that some of you have been to Tamarack. The food is great there, as it is from the Greenbrier Hotel!

Hi, all,
The jurying process went very well, and the Tamarack judges were very pleasant and positive. This was actually called a "pre-screening" before jurying in Nov., but they want my "artrox" now, since I've sold them there before and was already in the system.
The fiber things I took will still have to go thru the Nov. jurying, but they were positive in their comments today.
Thanks, all of you for your kind words of encouragement!
Love

Thanks, Muffy!
I got hugs from them and questions of "Where have you been?"
It really was nice!

Hey, Bebop!
I think my fiber creations are pictured in my photo gallery here. Not sure if the "artrox" are pictured. I'll post some of them, if not.
