My son really needed something uplifting! Today he had his first test in English vocabulary. He knew all the words and spelled them all correctly... He was actually the only one of two classes of fourth graders.
My son does most of his homework at the respite... so I asked him how many times he'd been reading the words for the test... he said just what I thought he would - ONE.
This was the perfect opportunity to talk about how the Asperger's can be a very good thing in certain situations.
hmm... maybe it runs in the family too... since his mom is crazy about the English language.

FYI (we're from Sweden... talking Swedish)

Nina you have every right to be proud of G. He is highly intelligent. A charmer. I love him very much. Did he tell his teacher that his mom speaks English 24/7???????
