This little guy is now happily in my terrarium all set up.

I have a new friend/pet for a few days

I'm keeping her to observe for the next couple of days, then I will turn her loose. We have named her Cathy Catipillar and she is a caterpillar for the Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly. which looks like THIS:
I have a new friend/pet for a few days

When it is matured. She should turn greener as she gets older, right now she is very young. And its not a common butterfly to this area, so its neat to have a visit from her. At the moment she is basking in my grow natural lighting on a little stick. The cats are facsinated

LOL slippers - I actually think its kind of cute, it looks like a stuffed animal kind of.

But I can see how one would see it as ooooogly too.

Also, if anyone is curous those are not real eyes - there spots to fake out a predator with.

Very sadly, Cathy passed away today. I was part of the problem - I went to grab her on the branch because i thought she was dead, and i pulled a little too hard and killed her.

I feel terrible, thats what I get for messing with a wild creature.

She was probably getting ready to make (turn into) her cocoon.
