Hello everyone
![]() I just started a technology program at school. One of our assignments will be to do a power point presentation! eek! How difficult is it to do a power point presentation if your computer skills are: internet surfing, microsoft word...etc just the basics? Does anyone have any tips on how to combat stress over taking a computer course...im already starting to feel overwhelmed and it's only the first day of class for this course. Powerpoint is not difficult to learn, a lot of the basic functions (cut, paste, delete, fonts, etc) you will know from word. In my prior job I had to assemble pitchbooks which relied heavily on knowing Powerpoint.
Good luck on your course and if you run into any problems, PM me, I will be happy to help TJ |

Power point is pretty self explanitory, but there is a "how-to" video at MS.com. I think you access it by selecting help in Power point and search online. It's actually pretty fun once you start playing in it.

PowerPoint is a lot of fun to do and it's really very easy if you know how to move around in Word. Basically it's just word, only more creative. I self-taught on PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access and now I teach others and use all of them daily in my work. Let me know if I can help. I'd say to relieve the stress, don't procrastinate and sit down and play with it before you even try to work on your assignment. There are a bunch of layouts you can use and if you don't like them, you can make your own. Are you using Office 2003 or 2007 (there's a pretty big difference in them)? Good luck and let me know if I can help.
