Yup they did it, and a former Twins pitcher did it for them -- and I gay-rone-tee you I am going to rub it in the face of every Twins fan I know!

I'm originally from Tampa (my husband is military so we live all over the place now), and I couldn't be more thrilled about the Rays. Just think: The Bucs have won the Super Bowl, the Lightning won the Stanley Cup, and now the Rays may win the World Series. How cool would that be?

I lived in Massachusetts, north of Boston most of my life except for the last thirteen years. Now I live a wee bit north of Tampa!

You wanna talk about a rivalry with family every time there's a match up! LOL The Rays DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was happy for the Sox though, when they won the World Series...*sniff* *dabs eyes* *sniff*

I hope the Philly fans are appreciative of all the "Southern hospitality" we showed them last night by letting them win the first game.

It's a little known fact that we do this on purpose because we feel bad for the chilly Northeners because they're already wearing coats and jeans The Rays DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Rays DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and we're still in shorts and flip-flops. The Rays DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Rays DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found out today that Andy Sonnanstine is related to the receptionist at my T's office. She told me today that if I wasn't doing anything else Sunday night to make sure I watch the Rays play. He's pitching for them Sunday night So now that I have a vested interest , I have to root for the Rays.

I see the Phillies could not extend the same warm hospitality shown to them by the Tampa Bay Rays, by letting them win the first game on their home turf.

I also see they did not offer up the pleasant temps that the Rays enjoy and made them freeze their butts off.

Seems like dirty playing to me.

And yes, I did stay up to watch the whole thing. 1:30 ish?

LOL !!

I was waiting for someone to respond here and say "Well, last night they DIDN'T".
Yes we handed them that game, making errors so they could save face. We wouldn't think of embarassing the Phillies at home after their cold, wet, cold, loyal, cold (did I say cold?) fans waited out the rain delay and drove home in the middle of the night.

Good luck to our team tonight

Did anyone watch the game last night?

I was wondering why everyone in the entire stadium were already waving their white surrender flags when we're still letting them play for a little while longer?
