My daughter and her husband, twins, left here after we shared our Christmas together. It had started to rain after we had dinner at Outback, but it didn't seem that bad. Just miles from where we had dinner, they have been stuck on I 64 just outside Huntington, WV, now for 4 hours due to icing on the Interstate. They will likely be there all night! I hate this so much! I had fresh linens on the beds for them, but we decided they could go on to the inlaws in Lexington, KY. The police are not even letting people get off the exit ramps to turn around. It must be really bad. I just hate that they are stuck.

Thanks for the reply, Bebop. I know you are familiar with highway ups and downs, and I am helpless here to help them! It really saddens me to think of them stuck on the Interstate all night.

Sorry about your family Patty. Been on that part of the raod many times. They are still hours away from Lex., From what the weather was saying earlier it was really bad in that part of the state. It's suppose to warm some, so maybe they'll up the road soon.
fingers crossed

Thanks, Monty!
I just talked to my daughter's husband who is driving now, and 50 miles outside Lexington, so traffic is moving again, slowly. I also just watched the news, and there are still many roads still closed. The weather report said it was the rain hitting the frozen road temperatures, causing the ice. Many accidents on all roads around here.

((((((((((((( patty )))))))))))))))))

It sounds like a very stressful evening, I am glad that they got moving again. It has been rather icy here this evening too.
