I was kind of depressed about having to spend New Years Eve alone again and ended up actually not minding it so much.

I dozed on the couch a bit and then watched a movie. I have digital cable as a trial thing so I have On Demand and watched Nancy Drew on the HBO On Demand. It was a pretty good movie. I then watched a documentary on horror movies on Chiller and talked with Rex on the phone after finding out Christian Bale was in American Psycho..I had forgotten he was in a horror movie. I talked with Rex for about an hour so had some human contact even though it wasn't face to face.

I then got to get my celebrity gossip in on one of those gossip T.V. shows and even got to see the ball drop on Times Square. I was sitting at my computer when it dropped so went in the room where my T.V. is to see it drop and heard some popping noises and realized my neighbors were doing fireworks so went outside and watched the fireworks.

So even though it was a quiet evening at home I still enjoyed myself and ate a little junkfood. I made some nacho cheese dip and made some nachos and I ate a kinderegg my sister had sent me for Christmas.

So I hope you all had a fun and safe New Years Eve!

Jan

I'm glad you enjoyed your New Year's eve jbug. It sounds relaxing.

I too napped. One minute Jeapordy was ending and the next thing I knew it was 10pm and the neighborhood was popping with fireworks and they were cascading down in brilliant color right out my window. I liked it but the cat, not so much.
I talked with a friend online til after midnight on Yahoo IM where we pull up the Doodle environment and draw while we talk--it is so much fun! Talked and doodled til after midnight then hit the hay.

No special food for me last night except a few pieces of chocolate. Today I'm making the pork/sauerkraut/potatoes/applesauce meal. I don't always do that but I'm looking forward to it today.

Happy New Year!

I was long asleep when the hour came. Nothing new.

Your choice -- or theirs?
