I have three university degrees, one a Masters in Science with co majors. Anyway, the only college available to me is a community college which I refer to as Harvard on the Umpqua. I had dismissed the classes as being not worthwhile. But, I have decided to take guitar lessons along with Steelhead Fishing, Gold Panning and two dance classes (Swing, Nightclub & Cha Cha). The dance classes should afford the opportunity to meet some women. When it comes up next fall, I want to take the mushroom picking course. I know how to safely identify only about 5 types of mushrooms that are edible. And some are worth over $500 a pound.

Often overlooked, community colleges can offer a place to meet people and have some fun type classes. Give it a try. Now I have something to do Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday.

WOW, I envy you getting to take those classes! Gold panning, fishing, dancing and mushrooming! I wish there were classes like that here locally.
