How is everyone's weather?

We have had a beautiful Fall in Kansas with above-normal temperatures and lots of sun. Our temps are starting to drop now though, and our skies were gray and cloudy today. I guess all good things must come to an end.

It has been raining here (ND) all day. And is suppose to change to snow later in the week.

So I guess we had a short fall. But that is quite normal around here.

The weather is pretty good here, our highs are in the high fifties and our lows are in the low thirties. It has been pretty dry, I love this weather!

it's 52degrees now and it's 6:27pm. It was cold and windy earlier, it's supposed to be a high of 59 tomorrow. I like this kind of weather! I like being able to snuggle up in a warm blanket, have some hot tea and watch good movies!

It's definitely fall here in Kentucky. The first year I have been here all year to see all the changes during the seasons. The fall feeling started about a month ago & the temperatures have been drooping a bit until this last week.

We have had frost warnings almost every night. Wouldn't you know, the tomatoes I planted in spring finally got tomatoes on them. I counted 20 little tomatoes the other day. I planted them in a huge pot & since I don't want to loose them & hopefully get them to ripen, I decided to bring the pot inside my house & sit it in the south window of my family room. I actually had frozen water on the window of my truck when I went out on Sunday morning to go to church, so it's a good thing I was saving my plants. I also put my hibiscus in a pot this year so I could bring it indoors for the winter.
I was out horseback riding with a friend who owns 1000 acres of woods & fields. It was strange as most of the leaves have just turned brown & dropped already. The drought has been hard on the trees. We have had 2 years of drought, so the trees are having an even harder time. I noticed my woods have done the same thing. Most of the leaves are already off of the trees & there isn't much colour around on anything.

I do like the cooler temperatures, but I need a bit more warm days so I can finish painting my front porch. I just stripped the paint off with my pressure washer & need some warm time to finish the job. It was too hot during the summer.....I wasn't functioning well in the heat......but I also don't function outside well in the cold. (is there no pleasing me????lol)

I am looking forward to winter however.....praying for more snow this year. Everyone says that the alman act is saying we are supposed to have a really BAD winter. Wonder what that means????? Who knows what will be. It seems I am always up for surprises here......we had our tornadoes in February this year & none during the normal time of year for them. This weather is nothing I can figure out, so I just go with the flow.

Kentucky,
Debbie

I'm so glad so many of you like the cooler temps.

I spent 13 years in Central Florida, with weather like Echoes is describing. It was helpful to hear others speaking about how much they like the cooler weather.

Warm (80's) and windy. We have recently had fires in nearby areas, including one that spread into the east end of our community.

I'm in Alabama and have been enjoying a mild fall so far. Autumn is my favorite season. I love the colors and cool weather. The summers are so hot and humid here, the change is welcome.

It is in the 50's here today. Tomorrow in the low 60's and we are going on a drive down the pig trail to see the fall foliage. I'm taking my camera and hopefully get some pretty pictures. The highway we are going down is called the pig trail because it is windy like the tail of a pig and we are the home of the hogs here in Arkansas.

It is almost summer here in South Africa but the weather is very cold today. Howling, gusting winds and grey skies. Not pleasant to be outside.

I can't believe it.....we had flurries today.....here in Kentucky.....it's just fall......I hope we have more snow this winter, but this was so early.

Glad I got my new heat pump heating system in.....to get rid of the expensive propane system......couldn't afford paying $850/month in the winter.

My wife said a big snowstorm is coming where she is living right now...I'm too far south where I am to get it. I love snow, especially in the pre-Christmas months.
