Ok so I know that this is not a game but I have used this chat name for more than 10 years and I need to come up with a new one that is not degrading myself. Will some of you give me some suggestions on a new name. I will pick 3 or 4 that I like best then have everyone vote on it. Please do not do things like Prettiest etc. Some of my likes are the color purple, I love babies and cats, my favorite food is the potato, I live in a cold climate for most of the year (then it warms up) I am originally from England. I told my therapist about my chat name and she asked how that was working out for me I guess it helped me keep my low self-esteem. Please I need suggestions everything I think of is so negative.

I can definitely see how this name could cause you problems. I was thinking you could do something with your favorite color and the fact that you are from England and use some of the nicknames from where every you were from. Altough I don't know what part of England that is so Maybe:
Violet DeeDah (Sheffield nickname) Purple Wozza (Warrington nickname) Lilac Swiller (Southern England) Moonraker (Wiltshire) What ever you choose will certainly be better . . . We could all use better self image and I think you are making a very positive change. GOOD FOR YOU! |

I think its a great idea to have a more positive name. We put ourselves down enough, so I hope you can get a new one that you like.
How about .......... Cottonsocks (like cats have on their feet) RoyalKitty - in ref to you birth place and your love of cats PrincessKitty - as above. HRH Kitty - sorry I am stuck in a groove. SweetViolet. Hope this helps Possum |

one consideration: people shorten usernames, especially in chat. Notice how you get called UF all the time there?
i rarely type more than 3-4 letters unless it is an easy word... like i'd type purp for more than half the names suggested. They are all pretty cool though, my favourite being purpleknickle... still smiling then again, some names stick with me.. like gimmeice is and always will be ice ice baby to me. just something to think about... if having it shortened matters to you tatertot?
