My sister was supposed to get me and my Fiance a room at this really cool place that has themed rooms for our honeymoon. It was just one night, but she told me today that she couldn't get it...she was supposed to have gotten in 2 weeks ago! We are getting married on March 13th, so it's a bit late to tell me she can't get it.

Anyways, I was at work and was crying because I was SOOO disappointed. We had even changed the date so that she could be there. Well, my boss and his fiance got the room for us!!! With Champagne and movies and candies! I can't tell anyone at work because it could be misconstrued, but he is just a really nice, caring guy. He doesn't have a lot of money because they are going on a cruise and getting married very soon, so it means a lot that he would do that for us. It was over $200 and we are all getting paycuts, even him!

Well, I just had to share that some bosses are really kind and caring....not like some of the bosses I have had in the past!

Fantastic news!

I was at work one day and my car was in the shop. At the end of the day I called to see if it was ready, and the mechanic gave me some bad news. He said "If you want to keep the car, it's going to cost you." The price he gave me might as well have been an arm and a leg - I didn't have it, not even close. I had no way to pick up my son and no way to get home.

After sweating some bullets, I turned to the only person I could trust - my boss. I walked into his office to speak, but I couldn't say anything. He looked at me strange and told me to sit down. My eyes welled up with tears, but I still couldn't say anything. For as long as he'd known me, I never had trouble speaking my mind.

After what seemed like an eternity he sat back in his chair, clasped his hands behind his head, and said "How much do you need?"

I didn't want him to just "give" me money, but I was desperate. We agreed I would pay him back in little installments each pay day - and I did. I may not owe him any money, but I owe him much gratitude for "saving" the life of me and my son when I needed it most.

I'm so glad to hear you have a boss who cares about you. Oh yeah - congratulations!

Wow, that is really great! You must be extra glad to have him for a boss even more now. You have that special connection and understanding of your boss's personality now that I think is great to have--especially when any problem arises in a workplace, you will know what a kind person he really is.

Thanks, it is really great to know he is there for me. Thanks for the Congrats, too! I am really excited!

Kathy M - Your boss sounded wonderful, too!

It's amazing what people will do for each other. Sometimes I lose faith in humanity and then something like this happens and snaps be back to the reality that not everyone is so self serving, even in tough economic times.

I think I have the best boss on the planet.....
