At Tamarack, which is the only place I've displayed any of this large body of work I completed for my M.A. in Fiber Art. I had resigned myself that those weavings/wall hangings up there at Tamarack were just collecting dust, and so when the envelope arrived today from them, I suspected it was them requesting that i come take my work down. OMG, one of the pieces sold and I got a nice check from them! Hey, I'm not bragging here! Just today after having my taxes done, and paying taxes for my previous Tamarack sales, I was debating how i could GIVE the remaining work away! I still may end up doing that, LOL. One whole room in my tiny house is taken up by the work.
Thanks for letting me share.
Patty

Congradulations on selling your weaving. Do you have any pictures to share of some of your fiber work? I'd love to see it.

Again job well done.

That's cool! Somehow I didn't know you had a M.A. in Fiber Art. I'm impressed with that too. I haven't had nearly enough time for my own fiber arts interests the last few years, but I'm sitting here with my spinning wheel now, after the dogs knocked it over and broke it, and I had glued the broken piece and my daughter had some friends over and they were looking at it and trying to figure out how it works, so I put it back together and did some spinning.

What kind of weaving do you do? I'd love to see it if you have pictures somewhere. It is so hard to actually make money at any of the arts. It just take so much time and is generally under-appreciated. But exciting to be able to do it, and even just to enjoy it for yourself. Even better when you know that someone else appreciates your work too.

That is SO cool! I'd love to see pictures too... love arts and crafts.
Have you looked into etsy.com? You might be able to sell things there...
