I've found myself in a rut again and I desperately needed to do something that would benefit others and me. I've always loved cycling and always wanted to take part in a big fundraising event, but it's never happened.
But, this year I'm doing it. I've started training already and my name is down to be registered (all that I have to do now is answer questions about my health and pay in my reg.fee, a woman is phoning about that today).
I'm excited about it, it's giving me some well needed time away from home and... it's exercise!
The ride I'm doing is Coast to Coast. It's a 150 mile cycle from the west coast of England to the east coast. It's all in aid of Marie Cure Cancer Care and I'll be doing it over 3 days at the start of July. We set off on the Friday and do 41 miles. On Saturday we cycle 51 miles and then 58 miles on the Sunday.
Now all I have to do is go collect some sponsors and train, train, train...

Thanks I'm REALLY looking forward to it. Although, today I received my paperwork for it and now I'm a bit scared, but still on a high... hope it lasts.
