Just something I was thinking about....
just curious what you guys would think?
Maybe have an annual induction...
& after the initial induction have inducted members make up half the voting for new inducties...
I don't know what the criteria would be
number of posts, titles held, work done on up keep with the sight.
contribution of professional information...
I dunno, just a thought what do you think?

Of Course DocJohn would be the 1st induction

I think it sounds like a cool idea!
I'd have some pc friends that I'd like to nominate, but i don't think you can nominate people just because you think they are cool lol. (but for the record besides Dr. John, pegasus, fuzzybear, muffy and cantstopcrying are at the tippy top of my list of "awesome and helpful PC members" not to say that other members aren't at the top, they are just at the tippy top.)
Thanks for this!

Umm... well, we already have titles that go with amount of posts, and the Premier Poohbah Forum which you are allowed in when you hit 3000 posts, I think if we add anything else it may be confusing.

I think that's a good thing lion. With active people like you people are less likely to feel neglected because pretty much every post gets a response

I'm chipping away until I reach elder. That's going to take awhile...but at the rate I'm going I might make it sooner rather then later. Of course I don't post just because I want to increase my rank, but it's pretty cool.

I think this is a good idea in theory but I think some people could get their feelings hurt if their name didn't get on the list.

I've seen this elsewhere, and it just ended up people complaining because they never got mentioned. I think it kind of turns into a popularity contest. The post count thing is enough in my opinion.
Thanks for this!

Hello everyone. I do agree that competition is somewhat healthy, but when you are not feeling well and have mental health disorders and need support, I sincerely think and feel, that it is more important to get your support needs met at Psych Central than recognizing who has given the support. If you would like to recognize someone for helping in some manner at Psych Central, most of the older members have used the Kudos Forum, out of respect for each other then no ones feelings get hurt in any way. Take care. Soidhonia

Sounds like a neat concept! But I'm not sure if its a good idea... to virtually put certain people on a "pedal stool" even if they have helped tremendously on these forums.

See there has to be a more subtle way to prop up those who offer there valuable time on here.. helping others. I'm all for that!

I just sorta had the silly idea that everyone on here was equal in a sense and wouldn't be made to feel otherwise.... and popularity contest are no fun for some of us!

Just our 2 cents worth here,
but isn't that what the Premier Poohbahs Forum is for ?

to recognize contributions to the site without it becoming a popularity contest ?
