Stop medicine and meet a therapist is a good idea ? Currently I take sertraline 125mg and risperidone 1mg for once a day.But I'm afraid to take that medicine for long time.I want to stop my medicine and take advise from therapist but my psychiatrist don't like it he said stopping medicine is not good.I have little bit OCD and social anxiety.

It doesn't have to be one thing or another. You can be on meds and still see a therapist. Why do you want to stop the medicine?

Its up to you in the end, but if the meds help, why stop taking them?
Therapists have their own axe to grind 'if' they discourage meds, they want to make money!

I'm afraid to take medicine because medicine have side effects ,now my weight gain I think It's a side effect of medicine so I want to stop medicine and try to strong my mind so therapist can help to me to do that ?I taking medicine for 5 months but not good result (only gastric problem is reduce). My psychiatrist increase amount of medicine but not good result so she recommend to change medicine. But I'm tired with medicine I want to give up medicine. I'm not yet meet a

All the medication I'm trying for fibromyalgia have appeared to be causing side effects equally as bad as the pain itself. I don't feel like I can win here. There is no "Magical" pill to help me... =(
