About a week ago I decided to stop taking zoloft (sertraline) and buspar (buspirone) and quit them cold turkey (was taking 100mg of each a day). I know that probably wasn't the greatest idea but oh well. I've been having really bad gastrointestinal distress (gas, diarrhea, etc.) which I am not sure is from stopping the meds or am I just sick? Ironically my pdoc told me a side effect of zoloft could be diarrhea but I never experienced that when I started taking it

How long were you taking Zoloft? if only for a few weeks or so you really wont have a withdrawal but if you have been on for years the withdrawal is awful!

I withdrew once (head zaps when turning, sick feeling, call off work feeling, just not right) and I;m back on it again and want to go off but still take because I am afraid of withdrawal

Your GI problems could well be from the withdrawal. How's it going now?

I took Zoloft for a few months and did the same thing, cold turkey. I had some digestive issues after as well, which they tested me for stomach ulcers because of. Had none, decided I had acid reflux and prescribed me Nexium, before it became over the counter. Stopped taking that too because I felt worse when taking it lol. Eventually went away on its own. Best of luck to you!
