chronic illness, lorazepam, antibiotics

Would like to get off of Ativan. I need to start longterm antibiotic treatment where benzos are counterindicated. I have been put on Ativan a month ago because my underlying illness was giving me shortness of breath (which often resulted in overbreathing),seizure-like shaking, blackouts and more. I was hoping to get help at an impatient clinic but they did not help at all and sent me home.
I am now trying to do simple exercises (grounding, yoga, awareness) as much as I can, though the symptoms and withdrawals are overpowering. My hands and feet go numb, my muscles go stiff and the breathing is erratic (and has been for two months)
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
