Today is day 4.

Going from 200mg every morning to 150mg.

Day 1- headache around 5pm. Chills and hot flashes all night. Stomach cramps.

Day 2- mild headache at 6pm. Nothing else.

Day 3- no symptoms.

Day 4- slept 12 hours. Woke up with bad stomach problems. Headache first thing at wake up. Chills since waking up.

Im going down to 100mg starting next wednesday. This is debilitating. I feel so terrible today.

I hope this is the worst and it will get better starting tomorrow.

I am still suffering terribly as I withdraw very slowly from Geodon. I wait until I stabilize on dose before dropping further, for me this takes about a month between each reduction.

Hope you're feeling better today

The worst of it was last friday. Since then i became hypo, and today i crashed.
No more headaches or stomach stuff thank goodness.

But i see pdoc tomorrow, and i think were going down to 100mg.

Good luck thru your withdrawls! Or whatever the docs are calling them these days.

Your tapering too fast, your reductions need to be smaller the lower you go. Try 10% every 2-4 weeks to avoid withdrawals using a micro gram scale, or liquid titration.

Buy a micro- gram scale on amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012TDNAM..._t1_B003STEJCU and shave off your pill until reduced dose is met. Its 10% off reduced dose. It will take quite a bit of time, but is worth it to prevent withdrawals. Also check out this link to a great website for tapering.Tapering - Surviving Antidepressants They have information on tapering, and using water titration when the dose gets really low.

Yes..It can be done with any psychiatric medication, and most all come in liquid form also.

Sorry for a really delayed reply....

I will be having thyroid surgery to remove a cancerous nodule mid Nov. So I stopped my taper until a date was secured and I had a few weeks to stabilize synthroid.

But, I'm back to the tapering. Mostly because my script is $450 per month! Crazy!
So today is day one of going from 150 to 100...

I love the link you provided and I'm learning a ton!

Thanks!!!

I'm in the same place right now. Today was hard, because I was at school from 7:30 till 3:30. The headache was so intense, and I couldn't function in any of my classes. Today is my second full day off of it.
