This last fortnight, my PDOC started taking off my meds to see how I cope without them. }i feel like a test subject being studied by this woman. Last week I told her that I was feeling worse, but she didn't seem to care. She took more pills off. I'm afraid of how will I react without any meds. I don't feel safe. Why does she want to do this?

Have you told the pdoc that you don't feel comfortable doing that? I often get afraid of how I'll react with no meds, too. I don't know what your diagnosis is or what the meds are for, but in my case, when I go off my meds, it is catastrophic. Anyway, I hope you can resolve this, if that's what you want to do. Sometimes it can be good to try going down on some meds. I don't know about going off of all meds though. It can be tricky.

Many years ago people who were on meds would occasionally take a "med break." Doing so kind-of reset the brain and helped to determine which meds were helping - or not.
It was found, however, that med breaks did more harm than good. Your pdoc's decision confuses me. __________________ |

Not sure it’s a good idea to be going off your meds like that. Might be time to look for a new pdoc if she’s making you uncomfortable about your med change’s

Hey @kumy do you live alone or with other people? Do you have loved ones that support you and your treatment? How do they feel. My gut when reading your post was " Get the F away from this dr and find a new one!" That is absolute crap to 'see how you do' without meds. Do they take glasses away from people to "see how they do" with blurry vision? Do they take someones walker away to "see how they do" walking? It makes no sense to me. If you get worse forget asking her, go to the ER or psyche ER and get stable.
