Has anyone else heard that Billy Mays, the oxi-clean pitchman, was found dead at his home?

Yeah...I just read about that on-line. It's kind of creepy, you know, with all the death of stars/public figures in the last week.
 What makes it even more weird to me is I never talk about Billy Mayes...ever...his commercials kind of annoyed me, but my Mom and I were discussing him just a couple days ago. This is really weird!!

It is weird because I just told my husband and he said "he was on that plane yesterday that had to make an emergency landing!"
It made our local news because he landed at "our" airport. And today he's in the news again. So very odd. |

I read this online this morning. The bad thing is he hit his head hard when his plane was landing the day before and that night before he went to bed he said he was not feeling well. He should have gone to the ER after he hit his head.

It sort of caught me by surprise too, that's why I threw it up on the boards to see what everyone would say.
I despised those commercials -- that voice......ugh!! I'm really sorry he passed away like that though, it's really sad. He was only 50. Wait a minute -- wasn't MJ 50 too? Creepy....

It's too bad he died - he looked healthy and full of zest. At least this post won't trigger a bunch of fights like the MJ post did - no boxing gloves needed for this one LOL. I didn't mind his commercials - they got our attention an that's what commercails are supposed to do.

RIP Billy. He looked like he was enjoying his job and enjoying life, which are things a lot of us here aspire to.

I loved his infomercials. He made me want to buy EVERYthing. My son and I used to watch them just because of him. It's sad. He was good at what he did.

Medical examiner's office gave preliminary indications today into what may have led to Billy Mays' death..... No head injury (possible heart problem).
