He's alive but didn't raise me. I often didn't even know where he lived or if he lived. I hate Father's Day and the week after.... I seem to mourn the lack of a dad every year. Does it ever end?

Knowing your dad is still alive could be causing your continued grief. Perhaps trying to contact him or simply sending him a card every father's day will help you with this. As might counseling. ![]()

![]() I'd rather have a visit, note or pretty picture than an "I'll say a prayer" or a "god bless you." Doesn't make me feel better, no meaning to me for sure. Can't stop you from praying and blessing me, and if that makes you feel better feel free. ![]() But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me. And let's all respect each other's feelings. With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings." ![]() |
