She did such a good thing with the documentary she did at the end of her life.
What she gave the insight for ppl who know ppl who are going threw cancer. As no one knows till they have been there and done that. It makes me sad that she is not honored more ... She did a brave thing. She showed the world what cancer does. She gave a gift that was huge. imo in vids http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=105393 |

"Farrah's Story" is so moving. I could not watch the entire documentary the first time, so I watched the last quarter of it a few days later. It is a generous gift to us all, to share something so personal the so difficult and painful in her life. I don't know how she maintained humor, wonder, excitement, love in such desparate times.
"Farrah's Story"...It's about so many things. Primarily about her journey and her courage, perseverance, graciousness and grace, her faith, hopes and fears. But it also showed the dedication of her friend who did the taping, travelling with her and Ryan ONeal. Ryan ONeal... so loving and devoted to Farrah. What a rock, like a rock anyone would love to have when facing frightening and uncertain times. From the fictional "Love Story" to very real "Farrah's Story". He seemed to be wonderfully supportive (while not hovering unnecessarily), cheerful and optimistic, nurturing and loving. I am equally amazed at his character as I am at hers. I'm glad I was able to sit down and watch the ending. It was very sad and it seemed she would not live much longer. I hoped she was comfortable and being generously treated for pain. She was so courageous to bring this part of her life to the screen, to show us what having cancer means on a personal level, to cry out for more research. She showed us how to seize with excitement, to celebrate moments right when they present themselves to us... that moment is all we truly have. ![]() |

I watched it. I think she did a wonderful thing there. She was a great actress. I could not believe when I got home from my camping that both she and michael jackson were gone but geesh I heard nothing on the news about her last night. not one thing. it was all mj. I turned the tv to another channel!

"Grace".....what a perfect word for her. Not just at the end of her life, but how she handled herself in the public eye through out her career. It's one of those ironic twists, but in the 70's or 80's she did a public service announcement on TV regarding cancer and her final line was along the lines of, "one day, one of us may suffer from cancer." What strength and grace.

everyone one of us has a chance of getting cancer. For this woman to do what she did and it to be forgotten so soon. How sad is that. What she did for that cancer and to bring awareness is unblieveable. Imagine the stress she was under and still she thought of others (((echos))))) your right about her ((ty)) (((canstopcrying)))))) it is ironic but maybe it ran in her family or she knew ppl who had passed from it. She truly was and will always be a amazing person. Shes a true person. True to herself and to what life was about. What a difference she made. |

An expected death and a shocking unexpected death have quite different effects.
But I do think all that can be said at this time, news-wise, has been said. The rest is for tributes and memorials. I'm hoping that the media attention turned elsewhere is giving those whom Farrah Fawcett left behind the needed privacy for grieving. |

I think Farrah only wanted cancer to be looked at as her final wish. It was her way of giving back. To cancer and the world ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Farrah left us all a huge gift. She shared her last days with us , so hopefully people could learn more about this cancer. SHe also left her son a gift in a letter it read I took it form Rhaps link. ((Farrah's letter to her 24-year-old son said: 'The greatest gift of my life was to be your mother. By leaving you behind I hope you will be able to work out all your troubles and grow as a person.'))))) One of the other charlies angels said this too, which I really like.
