"James Robbins "Bob'' Gardiner, an artist, writer and musician who won an Academy Award in 1974 for the animated short film "Closed Mondays,'' died April 21 at his home in Grass Valley at the age of 54. He ended his own life."

Since this post apparently evaporated with all the others I am reposting.
I want to thank everybody who responded and gave me their loving support.
