I just wanted to let you all know that I am thinking of you and hoping that you find some way of making this holiday time as happy and as peaceful as possible. I know it will be hard. I know it wont feel right . But I do know that your loved ones would want that for you. Its a time of renewal. Please do find some way of doing something nice for yourselves. Maybe something that your loved one(s) would want you to have.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Beth

Its my first without Dad too. Not going to be easy but we have survived so much, we can do this too.

Thanks Bebop. Family just left. I am home alone, and I think its going to be a good time to get some more crying out. Been so busy with so much, I haven't really done the grieving I need to do. I miss both my parents so much. Just so soooo much....

Thank you so much for this post, this is the first christmas without my dad, he passed away 8 weeks ago. It was a rough week, but we all were together yesterday and it was a very nice day. My mom is doing wonderfully. Thank you for all your prayers....

 I am glad your mom is doing well with this. That helps alot I think as it takes a worry off your mind so you can deal with your own grieving. I know how much you miss him.
