...but tonight, at approximately 11pm, I did. My grandma, more affectionately known as Grammie, passed away. It was sudden, and it was quick, and I thank God for that. But this is the first close death I've ever dealt and I'm not sure what to do. It's just weird, knowing that I'll never see her again or be able to talk to her again or play cards with her again but not really grasping it.
I love you so much Grammie, I hope you knew that. Rest in peace, I know you're in heaven... __________________ "Next, don't go to Europe to 'find yourself.' Who told you you were over there anyway?" -The Colbert Report on 'Things Not To Do After Graduating College' |

It often feels as though you are in a protective fog for a few days. There is nothing you are supposed to do except say goodbye in the way that makes sense to you. Make a phto journal, write, share stories with family members? I am sorry for your loss.
