I really miss my Dad and with Father's Day being tomorrow, I've been depressed this whole day. I have no idea what I'm going to do tomorrow. It's been 2 1/2 years since he passed away from complications of Leukemia & Lymphoma. Since then my mom has made my life a living hell. He was my barrier and protected me from her. I miss being able to tell him everything and not being judgmental of me when I did something stupid. Everything I ever tell my mom, she flips it around to make it bad in some form or fashion.

Maybe I'll just celebrate tomorrow, by drinking a 6 pack of guiness and make some oysters. He would have liked that.

((((Queen Accountant)))) - I'm so sorry you lost your father. He sounded like a wonderful father. I understand your sadness, but perhaps you could turn it around and remember him fondly. Please don't drink - it's not good for you and your dad wouldn't want you to be sad or destructive.

My dad died when I was 2, so I never had father memories - only memory I have was him being taken by ambulance from the house and my mom bringing a pail so he could throw up - he had stomach cancer. I'm sorry to tell you my sad story - but I'm hoping it will make you grateful for the time you had with your dad. I always wished I had the memories that my 4 older siblings had.

Do something nice for yourself and do your dad justice by not being sad and remembering him for the good man he was.
