My mom's been gone two years today... it seems like yesterday, and also like forever.

She, and dad, have visited me in dreams... assuring me, telling me directly that they are "okay"...and I know that heaven is a much better place than being sick here on earth.

It's just hard remembering those last 2 weeks...and working at blocking all those "what if?" thoughts.

Mom was 89.
Dad was 84 when he passed years ago.

See you soon!

It really doesn't seem it was that long ago. I am glad you are being comforted by their appearances in your dreams. Dad has been gone almost a month now and it seems like yesterday.

I'm glad that you're being reassured by your dreams. Don't regret the last two weeks. We all die, in our own ways. My husband took a year and a half, my mother a week, my Grandfather just under an hour. Death is a journey we must all take at some time. Best to wait on it, no point hurrying it up. I think every death teaches us something as well, though not always something tangible enough to explain.

I do believe that you'll meet your parents again. And when you do the whole nightmare of our lives will fade like any other dream.

Stay well.
