My mom and her girlfriend came up for the family christmas. Well she told me that my healthocc teacher was not doing to well. She has liver cancer and now it moved up to her brain. Doctors give her about 2 to 3 weeks left to live.
This teacher was the first teacher to ever reach out and help me. She was the first to address my cutting issues, and the first to ever let me cry on her shoulders. i tell you how nice and caring my boss right now is. Well This teacher is in every way like my boss now. I havent seen her since the funraiser to help her in summer. My mom is going to tell me when she goes and what day is her funeral on when it comes. I know its going to tear me apart. She is so close to me i mean i considered her like a second mom than a teacher. The first teacher to pick up on my mood swings and the first to ever hug me. When i failed my CNA test and my ex friends stole my car the same time and crashed it, she gave me a hug and sent me home saying i need to recouperate. When i was physically assaulted she was there to help my mental damages.

i am so going to miss her when shes gone.

I got some bad news yesterday

This is sad. Can you contact her somehow now.. and share that with her? It might brighten her obvious dark days. Take care of yourself, added stress can take you down faster... she wouldn't want you to do anything detrimental to yourself, you know? Take care, for her if you don't feel well enough to do it for yourself. (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry that this is happening. I know just how bad it feels when cancer runs rampant in someone's body and it eventually takes the one's we love from us. That's what happened with my mother last year.

Hang in there. We are all here for you!

Black Dragon,

I'm so sorry to hear about your teacher, friend and mentor. It sounds like she has given you a legacy of love, understanding and strength.

What helped me when I lost my older brother, who was my role model, was to try to become more like him. However, we all find our own ways to cope when we lose someone special.

Please keep us posted, so we can be there for you at this difficult time.

{{{black}}} How sad, it sounds like she impacted your life positively...maybe try to do the same for others, if you can, in her memory? I hope you get through this alright, let us know how things go.

Take care of yourself

You know what really bothered me. My mom told her that i am going on to LPN school and she was very happy for me. I mean really happy. I latley have been having second thoughts, and more i think about the LPN program the more i realize i dont fit there. I fit in psychology not nursing. I feel like if i dont become a LPN now that i will dissapoint her. I wont beable to see her cause i work all month and the days i have off are the days i have school. i dont know anymore what to do.

I think she would be happy that you end up pursuing that which makes YOU happy...if it were me, that's what I would want for you =) Maybe she was glad you had your plan, in genral--not that it was nursing specifically?

Could you call her, even a short call? It may help both of you =)
