This young lady died due to apparent human rights issues with the Church of Scientology - so please note that this COULD be very triggering for some and please only read if safe. The thing I want to draw attention to is the notes made when she was institutionalized in a "church home for rest and relaxation."
They are chilling, and a wake up that stuff like this still goes on, and NOT just in the hands of a church. It almost reminds me of the kind of treatment that took place in the early 1900's for this kind of mental breakdown. http://www.lisamcpherson.org/ |

OMG.... What a tragedy...... People have to be careful of who they trust. You can't even trust the church.... What an injustice that was done to that beautiful girl....
Thanks Rainbowzz for sharing.. ![]()

No Problem.
I feel that we need to have wake ups like this sometimes. It is something all of us should be aware of simply because of the fact that we too struggle with mental illness and when we can we have to be so careful to make sure we get the proper care. The notes just ..wow.. If a hospital in my city(halifax NS) ever had notes done that poorly they would be in huge trouble were they ever to get caught. Though this had to do with a church I think its important to note that things like this happen in other situations too, not just with this church. Various quacks and alternative rest homes etc do eexist and we need to very carefully review what is good and what is bad, as its very easy for something like this to slip by. |
