I just found out about this organization American Foundation for Suicide Prevention that has a lot of resources and advocacy for suicide prevention. Many of us have been touched by it in one way or another. There are many walks happening across the country on October 12, 2013 to raise awareness and money for the cause. Take a look at the website and see if you can find a walk near you if you are interested. If you are having trouble or have questions, let me know.

I registered. I stole your idea and called my team Ego's Aliens. :P My friend says she's going to do it and get some coworkers to tag along. It's going to be fun.

AFSP is an amazing organization. If this is your first walk you will definitely find comfort there. AFSP has been an amazing support to me and I hope you guys find the same support from your local chapter and from the walk. Just some advice for the ladies... Don't bother putting on make up you will probably share some tears along the way... and thank you for participating in the walk. You never know you just showing up may change or even save a life.
Thanks for this!
