suddenly yesterday due to being hit by a car. He lived for about two minutes before passing away. We don't think he was in pain or even concious at the end. His housemate Moki stayed wuith him through to the end. He was only five months old.

RIP Eli

Rainbowzz, tears came to my eyes reading this. It is so sad to me when an sweet little critter ends up dying at such a young age & in such a sad way.

It is amazing how sensitive other critters are & how they show their love to their to their own family. They grieve just like we do.

I am so sorry for you going through this. It is so sad when critters end up dying. They are full of so much love & they are missed so much.....to me, it is the same as loosing any other family member.

I know that earlier this year, my mare lost her foal (it might have been born dead). Watching my mare mourn was so hard for me to deal with. Even though the foals personality didn't exist, the realization of loosing her was more than I could deal with too.

My prayers are with you,
Debbie

very true eskielover.

I was overcome with the response of his housemate. Just sat with him, licking and purring beside him. As if to say, it is ok, you can go now.

Very sad. And all happened so fast - not even an outdoor kitty. Happened to dash out the door when somone was going out it and right into the street.
