My husband was murdered five years ago. I still struggle greatly with greif. I saw him die and have ptsd and a lot of issues. For some reason my birthday seems to hurt so bad. Its like a reminder that i have lived another year without him. I miss all the fun we use to have on our birthdays.
I miss him teasing me about getting old. I miss so many things. And I'm bitter that i have to go on living without him because I'm all the kids have. I'm lonely and damn it i want my life. back !!!! |

I'm so sorry for your pain. I know it must have been traumatic to watch him die. I hope you are getting counseling to help you through this. It is hard to get through the maze of grief without help. Hope you are finding support here to help you also. I would try to make plans on your birthday, so that, you are not alone. I know you don't feel like celebrating but maybe just being with a friend or loved one would help. Wishing you the best.
