Years since he passed away. My love. My best friend. My older brother. My world. We commited incest when I was eleven and he was 14. I loved him so much.
This March will mark nine years since he will be gone. I miss and love him more each day. What have others done on anniversaries of the death of loved ones?

As you have read in other forums I too lost my brother two years ago. Each year on the anniversary date I go up to the cemetery with supports and family. The first year we all wrote letters to my brother and tied them to balloons and released them.... due to the fact my family can never keep things civilized so to speak... we proceeded to have a water balloon fight and little did I know that would be the last time I would see my father alive he died a week later.
This last anniversary my brother would have been 23 so my mom and I went shopping and got 23 things that described the kind of person my brother was... we put them at his grave. Due to our family heritage every year on his birthday we take a shot of Baileys and Jamo at the grave sight. My brother was very intrigued by our heritage culture and that is one of the Irish drinks he liked. Find what works for you. Find what helps you cope and what will keep his memory alive. |
