I'm having trouble about this time everyday. It's time for me to go home and I break out crying. My mom had lived with my husband and me for over 27 years. I took her back and forth to work for most of that time. In August, she retired and the less she moved, the less she could move because of her arthritis. Finally, she was bed-ridden. My husband has been on medical leave and he took care of her until he went back to work. On Saturday, February 8, 2014, my mom had a heart attack and died in front of my husband and me. My husband hasn't went back to work yet but is calling around checking and double-checking. He has nothing to do with her gone. He promised her he would take care of her and she wouldn't go into a nursing home. Now, what do we do??? It's just the two of us. We both miss her and can't stop crying. I know my brother and sister and their families are going through the same thing. It just hurts so bad.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. My mom died 1/26/2014 with my brother sitting by her side. It has tormented him until he went back to work last week. While he will never forget the pain of watching her die he now has hope for his own future.
I hope that you and your husband will find that kind of hope and comfort.

I know working is helping me get through. My husband needs to go back to work for his mental state and our financial situation. My hours are reduced after tax season. He chose to take care of mom. We've got to get through this. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
