I just found out a dear friend on here has passed. I got a PM from a relative, giving me the sad news. It seemed like some cruel joke, and at first I thought it was. I stared at the message, and it just didn't register. It still hasn't yet.....

I wrote to her for years, and it seems like I've known her longer than that cause the connection was so great. She was "3 dimensional" to me, and by that I mean that she seemed as real and corporeal as any "real life" friend (of which I have very few).

Still, she lives on in my heart. She's still with me in spirit, and I must say I'm not a believer. Yet I feel she has a soul/spirit that lives on.

Hello nonightowl: Please accept my condolences over the loss of your friend. I have no IRL friends. But I have some dear internet friends & I can imagine how difficult it would be to learn one of them had passed away. My very best wishes to you during your time of grief...

Thank you, (((Skeezyks))). I have more friends on PC than IRL, and I used to look forward to reading and responding to her messages.

((((( noni )))))

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It is very hard to let go of those who have a place in our hearts, whether we were friends online or IRL. I hope that you continue to reach out to us here, rather than close up and isolate yourself to prevent feeling other loss in the future.

We are here for you, noni.

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.

Thank you fellow members, for your posts and hugs. I knew I could count on PC.

RIP, my dear PC friend. I love you dearly. Even though you are not in this world, you're still in my world since I will carry you & your memory in my heart. And even though I've never even seen you, I know I will find/see you on the Other Side. We'll recognize each other.

I know this because of our long time connection, the bond over the years of "talking" online. That connection will still be there, I believe.

Hugs. I'm so sorry for your loss. I do believe that online friendships can be stronger and deeper than IRL.

Yes, they are. She (& other friends here) seem to care about me more than IRL people, of which I know few.

I just got some other depressing news, and she'd understand. She'd say, "Aw, ****!" Still with me in spirit.
