A Place To Share Our Grief
I thought this would be a good way for anyone to share their individual grief, whether it be for loss of loved ones (human or animal), or other various subjects of loss.
To start things off:
The griefs I bare are old and new.
The old are the loss of my beloved father who died young and grandmother who sadly was the victim of murder. My grandmother died at the hands of my own evil brother. Both my father and grandmother are in my thoughts often. Both taken too early. To help me deal with these two tragic losses, I had a personalized tattoo made for myself. So, I wear a metaphor of their memories above my heart!
The new griefs I now bare are the future and soon death of my terminally ill mother, my elderly cat, and recent loss of my aunt. My mother, having had cancer for a few years now, has been taken off all treatments due to her advanced age and these treatments are no longer working. So she is now under hospice care.
My elderly cat is now fifteen years of age, elderly for a feline. She was found out in the country, abandoned as a very tiny kitten of about three weeks of age. From the moment I serendipitously found her, she tugged at my heart. I appropriately named her Tug. She's had me at "meow" all these fifteen years. And losing her will just about kill me! As I have always been very tenderhearted for all of the pets who have owned my heart over the years!

I miss my son and my mother. They were both taken from this world too soon, and I feel like I didn't get enough time with them. I mourn them daily after almost 4 years and still cannot get over that loss.

Your story is kind of like mine. I lost my elderly mother due to copd, my uncle due to cancer, my brother in law due to a stroke and my elderly cat who was 22 in 2014. It was a rough year. I also lost my father in 2010 to colon cancer. RIP all.
