My mother passed on the 10th of this month. She was 53 and had lung cancer. Which the cancer they didn't even find until she had her gallbladder surgery end of the summer 2015. Once they did the biopsy in november the dr said they wasn't going be able to do surgery and she started chemo the week of Christmas. My mom said she wanted this last Christmas to be a big nice Christmas for the family if would be her last. She spoiled the grand kids and the family. She passed away on the 10th and I remember my sister called and I started crying. I miss her. When I first heard about the cancer I tried to prepare myself for the worse in case, but I wasn't prepared enough. I think about the 'should ofs' like I should of spent more time with her or called her more. My mom talked about wanting to go with my sister and I on a trip to niagara falls to spend some time together. Sorry for ranting a little needed get that out

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm in the same boat. Losing someone right around the holidays makes it extra painful. It sounds like your mom was a lovely, thoughtful person, and I think it's totally normal to be wondering if we said and/or did enough. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
