My mother recently died, and my father (70) and brother (40) don't understand that I need alone time to grieve.
I am 50 with 2 kids. I am their full-time mother. I need SPACE! Advice? |

Sorry your family does not understand. Everyone handles grief differently. Can anyone take your kids for the weekend? Your brother or someone else? If so, I suggest you get away for a weekend or just one night in a hotel room. You don't have to go far or pay for a luxury suite. Just a day/night so you can reflect and mourn without people judging you.

Do you have any friends or other relatives that can watch your kids for a few days and give you a break?
Losing a parent is a big deal, and like the poster before me said everyone handles grief differently. |

I think I can get away for a few days. I just want to be alone.
My dad and my bro are acting really clingy. I am trying to be respectful of them, but they are bothering me as usual. My Father is old world and is always like this. But now, He wants to see me several times a week and I can not do that. I don't want to do that. He has really poor boundaries, as usual. |
