Today it would be my dad’s 75th birthday.
He said goodbye sooner. I want to tell you, papá that you are one of the best persons I meet in this life. Of course, not perfect, but I learnt from you so many things, especially how to be an empathic person. I love you dad.

It's a wonderful tribute. The fact that you are able to say the words I love you to him, without qualification or hesitation.
As you say, his empathy (and probably many other good qualities) is alive in you. |
