Well my friend's time came to an end. Lost an online friend to cancer. Just one of those things that slaps me in the face like the pandemic and world unrest. Well I keep doing self care and finding meaning in the time we shared together.
Good bye my friend __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Thanks terry. You are so right. Sometimes I do not appreciate someone until I lose them.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I appreciate your support.
I guess I have already set up many activities in my life so I try not to dwell on the loss and focus on what is the task at hand. It also helps to share my story with others. Thanks again @CANDC __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

I’m very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I have some very close online friends and I would feel very sad and also devastated if I lost one of them. May you feel surrounded by the love in the universe. Much love and respect from me always.

My friend wrote to me quite a while ago in preparation for this moment so I feel they were able to let go, so I am finding it easier to let go. Also other online friends have been supportive so that helps too. <3 __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Buffy sorry for the loss of your dad.
Thanks Buffy for your knd words. As I get older there are more good-byes than hellos. It is difficult but it is something I am coping with. Here is a song in their memory __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Thanks Buffy.
The loss of a parent was more traumatic for me than losing a person that I never met and only wrote to. I think this is because parents are very involved in our lives and are more enmeshed in our personal story. I loved my friend but when I saw the funeral I felt I could start to say good bye. With a parent it took me months and maybe a couple years to say good bye and start to heal. What is anyone else's experience with losing someone? __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |
