Dear Buffy01,

I am so sorry for your loss and for the burdens that fall upon you this time of year. Wish I knew what to say that would be helpful to you!

Anniversaries are hard, especially those so close to holidays.

I’m sorry for your loss and it may help to celebrate her life by eating her favorite meal or food or doing a favorite activities of hers during the holidays.

It's okay to shed a tear my friend, I'm so sorry about your mom.🙏

If it's a clear Christmas eve night, perhaps go out under the stars and ask for a sign. It's funny how the spirits may respond sometimes . 🤗🌠🌠🌟

@buffy01 I am sorry for your loss. It is difficult to lose someone around the holidays. Every time the holiday rolls around is difficult.

I pulled out my Christmas tree and turn on my Christmas lights. Christmas is my mom favorite holiday.

For me, anniversaries become easier as time passes. Doing her favorite activities or staying in touch with friends and relatives might help.

@Buffy01 glad you watched Christmas movies. There are lots of fond memories in them.

Christmas for me is not the same. I did talk with a couple people but the joy of Christmas will be when I talk to the grandchildren. I think the kids are the ones that really get excited. Now that I am over 50, I just do not feel like a kid anymore.

It was something that me and mom used to enjoy. I use to enjoy going to look at Christmas lights. I only did that for my nephew. I used to enjoy going to Christmas party. Christmas just don't feel the same anymore.

@Buffy01 I hear you. Many millions of people had a different Christmas this year. I was among them. I remember my dad and all he taught me and gratitude helps assuage the pain.
