I held the best cat i have ever had while she left this world cause of her cancers in 3 places

I'll call her by the name she had in rescue cause nobody would remember her rescue name

In rescue, she was called Spooks cause she tended to stay back and check on her kittens before allowing the humans to do stuff with her

She never allowed herself to get picked up, that was too much for her cause she needed to feel able to escape a dangers i think i can say she was abused and her behaviour was proof of that plus what the vet said when she was rescued

Vet said she would likely not be around in 2 years time after she was rescued cause of how much she had going wrong even back then

4 years and 2 days after i took her on from rescue (knowing she would never live a "normal" life, she was very special, the worst she ever did was stay back from people but she did allow the vet and humans she trusted to handle her) she started fits a couple of weeks before the end and on her last night, despite us fighting for her, she could not walk in a straight line i think this picture thing from the smilies sums up what happened

it still isnt easy even now, she came into my life at the worst time of my life she will always be my angel and i will forever miss her lots and lots

I’m so sorry to hear that friend, I had a cat named Smokey when I was in high school who suffered a similar fate. He developed a brain tumor that caused him to sort of lose his personality and become distant and hostile towards my family. He never attacked us but he’d hiss and run off, also could barely walk in a straight line.
We eventually had to put him down to relive his suffering. And Smokey isn’t the only pet I’ve lost so I really feel for you, but you should know your cat loved you especially after wheat they likely went through prior to the shelter. Even if it is over now, I’m sure you gave your kitty the best life it could’ve possibly lived, and that is a very good thing
