A few hours ago we had to put our dog to sleep. Him and his sister have been with me for over 14 years. In February he was diagnosed with probable cancer, I knew this day was going to come. I just hurt. It’s strange going from anxiety and continued worry for him to such a deep sadness.

Now I have to add sad for our cat. She had to be put to sleep Thursday. One rough week.

My condolences on the loss of your pets. One is difficult enough. I know because, over the years, we've had dogs who had to be put to sleep. But they were years apart. I can imagine, though, how wrenching it would be to have to lose two in such a short span of time. Please take care...

@am6985 So so very sorry for your losses. It's not yet two weeks since I had to make that final awful decision. I don't regret it- it was the most humane thing to do for my wonderful cat. I just can't forget him. My surroundings, etc keep me thinking of him. I feel the losses you are feeling and feel the pain as well. Hopefully they're in a better place

I hope you are remembering them when they were happy and healthy... You gave them Great lives. It's such a hard thing to deal with.
